AIBM Everyday Rewards Plus Visa Signature Credit Card Review

Overview

The AIBM Everyday Rewards Plus Visa Signature is a visa card issued by American Investors Bank and Mortgage, based in Eden Prairie, MN.

If you are separating or co-parenting

These are the parts of this card that land differently when a household is becoming two. None of it is a recommendation — your own position decides that.

• Ask what it costs to hold. One income is now covering two households, so an annual fee is a fixed cost worth knowing before you apply rather than after. Fees change, so get the current figure from American Investors Bank and Mortgage.
• Ask about the balance transfer rate. This card has carried an introductory balance transfer offer. That matters if your decree assigns you a share of a joint card balance, because moving the balance onto an account in your own name is what actually separates the liability — the decree binds your former spouse, not the bank. Why the decree does not bind your creditors.
• Points on spending that is already shared. A large share of post-separation spending goes on the children, and much of it is reimbursed between co-parents afterwards. Whichever parent’s card pays keeps the points, which is worth agreeing rather than discovering. What counts as a shared expense.

More on money after a separation: rebuilding your credit · dividing debt · dividing property

Conclusion

This review covers what the AIBM Everyday Rewards Plus Visa Signature is and how its structure lands if you are separating or co-parenting. It deliberately does not quote an interest rate, an annual fee or a credit limit, because those are set by American Investors Bank and Mortgage, vary with your own creditworthiness, and change often enough that any figure printed here would be out of date before you read it.

For the current terms, contact American Investors Bank and Mortgage directly. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau also publishes a free card comparison tool built from terms that issuers report twice a year, which is a better place to compare rates than any review page.
