Amegy Bank Agility Cash Visa Credit Card Credit Card Review

Overview

The Amegy Bank Agility Cash Visa Credit Card is a visa card issued by Amegy Bank , based in Houston, TX.

If you are separating or co-parenting

These are the parts of this card that land differently when a household is becoming two. None of it is a recommendation — your own position decides that.

• Ask what it costs to hold. One income is now covering two households, so an annual fee is a fixed cost worth knowing before you apply rather than after. Fees change, so get the current figure from Amegy Bank .
• Ask about the balance transfer rate. This card has carried an introductory balance transfer offer. That matters if your decree assigns you a share of a joint card balance, because moving the balance onto an account in your own name is what actually separates the liability — the decree binds your former spouse, not the bank. Why the decree does not bind your creditors.
• Ask about foreign transaction charges. Worth checking if your co-parent has moved abroad, or if parenting time involves travel and the costs are being shared.
• Cashback on spending that is already shared. A large share of post-separation spending goes on the children, and much of it is reimbursed between co-parents afterwards. Whichever parent’s card pays keeps the cashback, which is worth agreeing rather than discovering. What counts as a shared expense.

More on money after a separation: rebuilding your credit · dividing debt · dividing property

Conclusion

This review covers what the Amegy Bank Agility Cash Visa Credit Card is and how its structure lands if you are separating or co-parenting. It deliberately does not quote an interest rate, an annual fee or a credit limit, because those are set by Amegy Bank , vary with your own creditworthiness, and change often enough that any figure printed here would be out of date before you read it.
